About the designer
David Fiegenschue is president and creative director of FigDesign, a small design firm providing integrated identity, print and interactive design.
Fiegenschue holds two degrees in printmaking, a BA from the University of Dallas in Irving and an MFA from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. He worked at an ad agency and freelanced in Dallas before managing marketing services for Future Computing Incorporated, where he was introduced to early computer design tools. He was an early adopter of the Macintosh in his own business, launched in 1986. FigDesign now specializes in integrated design for a range of primarily business-to-business clients. The firm occupies an historic property in the Irving Heritage District.
Fiegenschue is an Adjunct Instructor of Art at the University of Dallas, and developed and taught drawing and design courses at Brookhaven College in the early 1980s. He is on the Portfolio Review Committee at the Art Institute of Dallas and has been a guest lecturer at the University of Phoenix.
